Here at Dechra, our values are embedded within our culture and thrive within our family of almost 2000 colleagues globally. The Opportunity

The Channel Manager, Marketing Automation is a key leader within the U.S. Digital Marketing organization, responsible for the strategy, execution, optimization, and evolution of marketing automation capabilities that enable customer engagement, lead generation, nurture, conversion, and measurable business growth. The role combines hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) expertise with program leadership, marketing technology activation, data-driven decision-making, and scalable operating processes. In the near term, this role ensures business continuity and operational excellence across Pardot, campaigns, journeys, forms, landing pages, lead management, reporting, and integrations. As Dechra's digital ecosystem evolves, the role will help activate Salesforce Data 360, strengthen CRM/CDP/website integration, mature segmentation and lifecycle orchestration, and enable increasingly personalized and AI-supported customer experiences. This position serves as the marketing automation subject‑matter expert and a cross‑functional partner to Marketing, Sales, IT, Analytics, CRM, and agency/consulting teams. Success requires a balance of technical depth, disciplined execution, strategic thinking, governance, stakeholder leadership, and an ability to translate business needs into scalable digital marketing solutions.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Marketing Automation Ownership & Business Continuity
  • Own the day-to-day administration, configuration, quality, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot).
  • Ensure reliable execution of email campaigns, Engagement Studio programs, forms, landing pages, segmentation, automation rules, dynamic content, scoring/grading, lead routing, and Salesforce campaign processes.
  • Maintain campaign continuity, troubleshoot platform and integration issues, and proactively identify operational risks before they affect customers or the business.
  • Establish and maintain process documentation, runbooks, naming conventions, QA standards, templates, governance, and business-continuity procedures.
  • Manage external marketing automation contractors, agencies, and freelancers, including scope, prioritization, quality, timelines, and knowledge transfer.
Strategic Leadership & Program Management
  • Develop and execute a marketing automation roadmap aligned with business priorities, customer experience goals, revenue objectives, and the broader U.S. Digital Marketing roadmap.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives across Marketing, Sales, IT, Analytics, CRM, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns and capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions, prioritize the automation backlog, and manage complex projects from requirements through deployment and optimization.
  • Define and report KPIs for automation performance, operational efficiency, customer engagement, conversion, data quality, and business impact.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to marketing and sales leadership on marketing automation, lifecycle engagement, and MarTech best practices.
MarTech Activation, Data & Integration
  • Partner with CRM, data, analytics, IT, and digital teams to strengthen integration among Pardot, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Data 360, websites, analytics, and downstream activation channels.
  • Support Data 360 activation, including audience segmentation, activation use cases, identity/data readiness, and connection of unified customer data to marketing journeys.
  • Develop scalable segmentation and audience‑management approaches that improve relevance while reducing manual campaign effort.
  • Help evolve lifecycle journey orchestration across customer stages and product‑category needs, including launch, growth, retention/defend, event follow‑up, and other priority journeys.
  • Partner on website‑to‑CRM/CDP activation, ensuring forms, behavioral signals, campaign data, and customer interactions can be used effectively across the ecosystem.
  • Maintain strong data quality, consent, preference, and regulatory practices across marketing automation workflows.
Campaign Execution, Measurement & Optimization
  • Oversee development and deployment of email campaigns, landing pages, forms, nurture programs, and automated journeys with a focus on customer experience, UX, conversion, and brand consistency.
  • Apply A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion‑rate optimization principles to improve engagement and performance.
  • Partner with Analytics to create actionable reporting and attribution that connects automation activity to customer behavior and business outcomes.
  • Use campaign and customer data to identify opportunities for improved segmentation, journey logic, timing, content, and next‑best engagement.
Personalization, Customer Intelligence & Commercial AI
  • Help establish the foundation for scalable personalization using customer, behavioral, CRM, and Data 360 signals.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing leadership on responsible AI‑enabled marketing use cases, including customer experience, content/engagement optimization, customer intelligence, and next‑best engagement.
  • Evaluate emerging marketing automation and AI capabilities for practical business value, scalability, governance, and integration with Dechra's technology ecosystem.
  • Ensure automation and AI‑enabled experiences follow appropriate governance, privacy, regulatory, and brand standards.
Stakeholder Enablement & Product Category Digital Leadership
  • Provide training, documentation, and support to internal teams on marketing automation capabilities, processes, and best practices.
  • Serve as a digital leader and product‑category liaison from the Digital Marketing Team to assigned brand/category teams.
  • Advise category teams on digital strategy, automation opportunities, campaign performance, audience strategy, and optimization.
  • Coordinate category needs with channel program managers and ensure automation work is prioritized against enterprise and business objectives.
