Position Summary

The Changeover Manager assumes management responsibility for all services and activities involved in the operations of the arena, providing direct supervision of all full-time and part-time changeover employees specifically in the areas of room sets, show care, and conversions at the Santander Arena.

This role will pay an annual salary of $45,000-$55,000.

About the Venue

Santander Arena, located in downtown Reading, Pennsylvania, is a versatile venue that serves as the home arena for the Reading Royals, the ECHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers. It hosts a variety of live events including concerts, Disney on Ice, and other family-friendly events attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all services and activities involved in arena operations and event set-ups.
2. Select, train, motivate, and evaluate front-line staff; provide or coordinate staff training; work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures for changeover staff.
3. Assist in planning, directing, coordinating, and reviewing work plans for facility operations.
4. Participate in developing and administering the Operations budget; forecast additional funds needed; monitor and approve expenditures; adjust as necessary.
5. Develop long-range plans for future events.
6. Assign appropriate changeover personnel for event set-up and tear-down.
7. Communicate between shifts regarding pending tasks.
8. Maintain knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, etc.
9. Coordinate with Housekeeping Manager for crew and housekeeping needs.
10. Maintain departmental equipment.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but experience considered.
• 3-5 years’ experience in arena or similar environment operations.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with safety standards and forklift certification or ability to acquire within 90 days.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possession of a valid Driver’s License preferred.
