Job summary

ASM Global in Massachusetts is seeking a team member to help set up and strike meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibithalls and arenas for various events. You will participate in room set-ups, build stages, install equipment, and ensure safe, efficient operation during events.

The role requires reading floor plans, using hand and small power tools safely, lifting up to 65 lbs, and working nights, weekends, and holidays. A neat appearance and fluent English are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience with similar functions desirable.
• Licensed and Qualified forklift/platform lift operations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture.
• Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers, glass and related equipment.
• Install various sporting equipment as required.
• Installs ice for related events (indoors and outdoors).
• Operate walkie-talkie radios when required.
• Assist as needed to clear snow and ice around the facility and outdoor skating rink.

Under direction, set-up and take down meeting rooms, ballrooms, exhibithallsand arena for various events.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums and other equipment/furniture, etc.
• Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers,glassand related equipment
• Install various sporting equipment asrequired
• Installs ice for related events (both indoors and outdoors as needed)
• Always perform work in a safe manner, notifying the Supervisorimmediatelyof any accidents/incidents and any problems or damagers to facility or equipment
• Operate walkie-talkie radio devices whenrequired
• Assistas needed/requiredto clear snow & ice from around the facility & the outdoor skating rink if/when needed (ability to safely & effectively use snow blowers when doing these tasks)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, this position requires lifting at least 65lbs.withoutassistance.This position also includes walking and standing for most of the assignedshifts,bendingand stooping at times isrequired. These tasks may be performed in adverse conditions at times (loud noise, dust, inclementweatherand movement of vehicles).

Union dues/fees shall apply.

Non-Negotiable Union Contracted Hourly Rate : $18.05
