POSITION: Changeover/Set up Laborer
DEPARTMENT: Operations
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt

ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Part Time Changeover/Set up Laborer at the SNHU Arena, Manchester, NH. These are part-time, event-related positions which involve working overnights and weekends.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direction, set-up and take down rooms, chair set-ups, and arena for various events.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participates in room set-ups and strikes, including but not limited to chairs, tables, risers/stages, stanchions, podiums, and other equipment/furniture.
2. Builds concert stages, installs hockey dashers, glass, and related equipment.
3. Installs various sporting equipment as required.
4. Installs ice for related events.
5. Performs work in a safe manner at all times, notifying the Supervisor immediately of any accidents/incidents and any problems or damages to facility or equipment.
6. Operates walkie-talkie radio devices when required.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Previous experience with similar functions desirable.
3. Licensed and Qualified forklift/platform lift operations desirable.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to use hand and small power tools when required both safely and effectively.
2. Ability to listen and follow both verbal and written instructions.
3. Ability to read and understand room set-up floor plans to complete tasks effectively.
4. Present a neat and groomed appearance and demeanor at all times during the workday.
5. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes nights, weekends, mid-shifts, early mornings, and holidays, as needed.
6. Must have a professional attitude and appearance.
7. Must be at least 18 years old.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

To perform this job successfully, this position requires lifting at least 65 lbs without assistance. This position also includes walking and standing for most of the assigned shifts, bending and stooping at times is required. These tasks may be performed in adverse conditions at times (loud noise, dust, inclement weather, and movement of vehicles).
