Job summary

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking a part-time Changeover Crew member at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri. You will participate in converting the arena between hockey mode and concert or basketball/soccer setups, ensuring safety and efficiency for events.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable wearing safety footwear.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to convert and prepare the arena for events.
• Install/remove ice covering, staging, risers, and basketball courts.
• Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables, drapery, and skirting.
• Assist with pre/post-event cleaning (sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming).
• Maintain effective relationships with other departments, clients, and patrons.
• Work under pressure and strict schedules to produce accurate results.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

In this position you are a member of the Changeover Crew. Duties required converting the facility from hockey mode to concert or basketball/soccer and back. Any event-oriented preparation/setup required for shows or sporting events to run safely and efficiently and other duties as assigned.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00 - $20.00.

About The Venue

Cable Dahmer Arena is a 5,800-seat arena in Independence, Missouri. In conjunction with the Arena, OVG also operates Independence Community Ice.

• Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery, and skirting.
• Assist, when necessary, with pre/post-event cleaning, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, and carpet cleaning.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with other departments, clients, and patrons encountered in the course of employment.
• Work effectively under pressure and stringent schedules to produce accurate results.
• Other duties as assigned.
