Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Engineering Lead for its Manufacturing and Technology unit in Clay, NY. You will oversee cost engineering, estimating, forecasting, and scheduling for complex projects, driving cost control and risk management across the program.

You will mentor teams, coordinate with commercial and technical functions, and ensure adherence to project controls and change management processes, leveraging Bechtel's global standards.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 10–13 years of relevant experience or 14–17 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in cost engineering, planning, and scheduling on large projects.
• Experience with change management, project controls, and risk management processes.
• Experience in the semiconductor or manufacturing industry and EPC/EPCM environments.

Responsibilities

• Manages cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling activities for a project.
• Develops preparation and presentation of project estimates and cost forecasts.
• Supports project organizational and administrative activities.
• Provides non-routine cost engineering/planning guidance and problem solving.
• Identifies and provides solutions to cost engineering and scheduling challenges.
• Reviews project financial data and contract drafts for adequacy of cost definitions.
• Coordinates development of data to support negotiations and cost control.
• Provides leadership and mentoring for Project Risk Coordinators/Specialists in PERM activities.
• Integrates risk management with Change Management, Forecasting, and project controls practices.
