Job summary

OMES is seeking a Change Management Coordinator to oversee the end-to-end change process within the Information Services Division in Oklahoma City. This role ensures complete documentation, approvals, implementation plans, testing, and communication for changes, supporting CAB activities and maintaining the change schedule.

The position emphasizes collaboration across technology teams, governance compliance, and ongoing improvement of processes and dashboards to track change performance and risk.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in IT change management, IT service management, technology operations, or a related discipline.
  • Experience coordinating activities across multiple technology or operational teams.
  • Strong understanding of IT service management and change management, and a familiarity with ITIL principles and practices.
  • Experience with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or comparable technologies.
  • Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Experience supporting a Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.
  • Experience in IT operations or Service Operations.
  • Familiarity with operational risk, controls, or governance.
  • Familiarity with process improvement and workflow automation.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the end-to-end change process from submission through implementation and closure, ensuring required information and approvals are completed.
  • Review change records for completeness, required documentation, approvals, implementation plans, testing, validation, rollback, and communication plans.
  • Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities by ensuring appropriate stakeholders, information, risk assessments, and recommendations are available to support informed decisions.
  • Maintain the change schedule and coordinate timing, dependencies, conflicts, blackout periods, and resource considerations with appropriate teams.
  • Monitor normal, standard, and emergency changes for adherence to established processes, policies, and approval requirements.
  • Track change status, outstanding actions, approvals, and implementation activities, escalating issues or missing information to the appropriate owners.
  • Coordinate communications related to planned changes, including stakeholder notifications, implementation updates, and completion status.
  • Maintain accurate change records, documentation, audit evidence, and reporting within the organization’s ITSM platform.
  • Track failed, emergency, and change-related incidents and elevate recurring issues or trends to Change Management Manager.
  • Prepare change management metrics, dashboards, and reports, including change volumes, success rates, emergency changes, failed changes, and compliance measures.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, process improvement, and automation and coordinate identified opportunities with appropriate teams.
  • Support post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and follow-up activities resulting from significant or unsuccessful changes.
  • Support compliance with change management policies, procedures, controls, and governance requirements.
  • Coordinate assigned change management improvement activities and track actions through completion.
  • Provide status updates and operational information to Change Management, Service Operations, and technology leadership.

Job Description

As a Change Management Coordinator with OMES you will enjoy:

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer and telephone for a large percentage of the workday. This position requires long periods, up to eight hours per day, of sitting and working at a desk. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. Occasional travel may be required.
