Responsibilities

• Support and implement the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of The Maples.
• Demonstrates teamwork by carrying out routine and assigned tasks within the Maples program.
• Assists clinician with patient care tasks and therapist with therapeutic interventions.
• Assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring and complying with program rules and policies.
• Observes patients and reports to shift nurse if behavior is significant.
• Conducts safety rounds per policy.
• Assists in managing patients with escalating behavior per hospital policy.
• Documents client activities, vital signs, and other findings as assigned by nursing staff.
• Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
• Shows flexibility and willingness to work with others.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and discusses with supervisors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the provision of maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu by monitoring and complying with program rules and policies
• Observes patients in accordance with prescriber orders and facility policy; documents and reports findings to shift nurse immediately if behavior and/or activity is significant
• Conducts and documents safety rounds per policy
• Provides assistance in management of patients who exhibit escalating behavior, in accordance with hospital training and policy
• Documents client activities, significant occurrences, observed behavior, vital signs, and other findings as assigned by the nursing staff and determined by facility policy
• Assists patients in completing Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed. This may include hygiene, grooming, toileting, eating, and other functions
• Displays flexibility and willingness to work with others
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and offers solutions; discusses with appropriate personnel (i.e., supervisors)
