Cape Cod Community College in Barnstable, MA invites applications for a part-time Chairside Dental Assisting course (DAS106) instructor for Spring 2027. The position combines asynchronous online lecture with an onsite laboratory component, including infection control, four-handed dentistry, and clinical patient care standards.

Formación

• Teaching experience at the college level or equivalent.
• Ability to create an environment that supports student learning and success.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Responsabilidades

• Provide asynchronous online instruction and onsite laboratory instruction using Moodle, demonstrations, and appropriate simulation technologies.
• Prepare and update instructional materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with course learning outcomes.
• Teach and supervise infection prevention, operatory preparation, four-handed dentistry, instrument transfer, patient histories, vital signs, and dental charting.
• Demonstrate and evaluate assisting techniques for restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, periodontal, and oral surgery procedures, including relevant instruments and materials.
• Guide laboratory and simulation practice, assess clinical skill competency and professional conduct, provide feedback and remediation as appropriate, and maintain attendance and learner records.
• Reinforce OSHA safety expectations, patient privacy, ethical practice, and effective patient communication; participate in relevant professional development.
