Job summary

Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry is seeking an experienced chairside Dental Assistant. You will assist the dentist during general and restorative procedures, take radiographs and impressions, and maintain accurate charts.

You will explain treatment plans and cost estimates to patients to help them understand their care and options. You will also coordinate scheduling, confirm appointments, and support infection control and front-desk handoffs to ensure a seamless patient experience

Qualifications

• 1 to 2+ years of chairside dental assisting experience
• Experience presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements with patients
• Experience scheduling treatment chairside and managing a provider schedule
• Knowledge of dental insurance terminology and procedures
• CPR/BLS current or willing to obtain
• Able to perform physical requirements of chairside work

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside across general and restorative procedures
• Take radiographs and impressions, and chart accurately
• Set up, break down, and turnover operatories on schedule
• Sterilize instruments and follow OSHA and infection control standards
• Present treatment plans and explain recommendations in plain language
• Discuss fees, insurance estimates, and financing options with patients
• Schedule the next visit while in chair to keep schedule full
• Confirm upcoming appointments by phone and text to reduce no-shows
• Fill openings and cancellations, follow up on unscheduled treatment
• Coordinate handoff with front desk to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
• Support teammates as needed
