Job summary

AIS is seeking an Industrial Sewing Operator in Leominster, MA for the 1st shift. This full-time, non-exempt position pays $17.00-$17.50 per hour and reports to Mayela Borchelt in Chair Assembly. The role involves sewing office chairs, cushions, and components on industrial machines, reading production paperwork, and adhering to established procedures with attention to detail.

Overtime may be required. Experience sewing office chairs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior experience sewing office chairs.
• Ability to read and understand production paperwork.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Stitch fabrics, vinyls, leathers on industrial sewing machines.
• Ensure clean, wrinkle-free upholstery with curved shapes.
• Align covers to ensure correct appearance.
• Follow procedures for correct fabric application.
• Assist other departments when capacity issues arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
