• Identify model numbers and required components for each model.
• Verify fabric and color match tags for correct frames.
• Maintain quality and productivity according to work instructions.

Job Title: Chair/Recliner Upholsterer

Reports to: Upholstery Supervisor

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Use staple guns and hand tools to attach upholstery fabric and padding to wooden frames.
• Secure buttons, trim and adjust fabric, fold pleats, and attach skirts as required.
• Hammer tack strips using appropriate hand tools.
• Move products from the conveyor to the upholstery workbench and return completed products to the conveyor.
• Learn model numbers and identify the components required for each model.
• Review upholstery tags to ensure the correct fabric and color are applied to the appropriate frame.
• Maintain quality and productivity standards while following established work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to perform repetitive pulling, pinching, gripping, and other hand movements using both hands.
• Ability to maintain a consistent work pace in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to recognize defective fabric, color variations, or other fabric inconsistencies.
• Ability to work scheduled hours on a regular basis, including overtime as production needs require.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow quality standards, safety practices, and work instructions.
• Willingness to cross-train on other jobs or production lines as needed.
• Lifting Requirements: Up to 80 lbs. maximum; 45 lbs. frequently.
