Larkin University is recruiting a Chair for the Department of Clinical and Administrative Sciences in the College of Pharmacy. The role leads faculty across disciplines, shapes curricula, and drives research, scholarship, and external collaborations in a fully accredited program.

The Chair reports to the Dean, mentors faculty, and balances research with teaching and clinical practice, while securing internal funding and managing strategic priorities across the college.

Qualifications

• PharmD or PhD in Social and Administrative Sciences.
• Record of teaching, research, and leadership.
• Academic credentials for Associate/Full Professor.
• Ability to mentor faculty and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Work with Dean and leadership to advance program development, experiential training, teaching excellence, curriculum assessment, research, and external partnerships.
• Manage department personnel and policy implementation.
• Assign teaching and oversee instructional activities with emphasis on active learning and critical thinking.
• Maintain an active research program and seek extramural funding.
• Mentor faculty to sustain active research programs and promote scholarly activities.
• Coordinate experiential needs of students with the Office of Professional Affairs.
• Develop pharmacy practice sites with external partners.
• Recruit and recommend new faculty to the Dean for appointment.
• Conduct annual performance evaluations and oversee promotions.
• Prepare annual budget requests and advise on expenditures within the College.
• Represent the Department to external institutions and agencies.
• Serve on College of Pharmacy leadership and support strategic initiatives.
