Job summary

Larkin University in South Florida is seeking a dynamic Chair for the Department of Clinical and Administrative Sciences in the College of Pharmacy to guide teaching, scholarship, experiential education, and external partnerships.

Reporting to the Dean, the Chair will lead faculty, develop programs, maintain an active research portfolio, and advance strategic initiatives while balancing clinical and academic responsibilities.

Qualifications

• PharmD or PhD in Social and Administrative Sciences.
• Record of teaching, research and leadership excellence.
• Credentials for Associate or Full Professor rank.
• Ability to mentor and develop faculty.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor faculty across clinical pharmacy practice and social/administrative sciences.
• Manage department personnel activities and policies.
• Assign teaching responsibilities and oversee instructional activities.
• Maintain an active research program with extramural funding.
• Recruit and evaluate new faculty for appointment.
• Prepare annual budget requests and represent the department externally.
• Represent the department to external institutions and partnerships.
• Support strategic initiatives of the College of Pharmacy and institution.
