Job summary

Larkin University’s College of Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Pharmacology/Medicinal Chemistry to contribute to teaching, mentorship, and research within the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The successful candidate will teach didactic and laboratory courses, develop curricula, pursue extramural funding, and participate in accreditation activities while advancing LU COP’s mission and growth in new master’s programs starting Fall 2027.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Medicinal Chemistry, or closely related areas in pharmaceutical sciences.

Responsibilities

• Teach didactic and laboratory courses in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.
• Develop and deliver elective courses as needed in the specialty area.
• Develop and sustain a productive research program with opportunities for extramural funding.
• Advise and mentor students and participate in accreditation activities.
