Job summary

Masis Staffing Solutions is seeking a Utility Operator in Holyoke, Massachusetts, to support production operations and maintain efficient roller chain assembly processes. The role involves handling components, training new operators, and using power presses, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment.

The ideal candidate will have completed a recognized training program, strong measurement/inspection skills, basic math, and the ability to work as part of a team in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved training program for setting up and operating all equipment in the assigned section.
• Must be able to measure and inspect assembled products.
• Basic mathematics skills are essential.
• Must be capable of handling somewhat heavy fixtures and parts.
• Must have the ability to identify various parts from engineering drawings used to produce chain products.
• Must be an active team member capable of communicating and working effectively with peers.
• Previous experience assembling metal components and utilizing power presses, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all assembly processes used to produce roller chain are maintained and operated at high levels of efficiency.
• Retrieve and replace components from parts storage or prior processes to ensure continuous operation of equipment.
• Assist, train, and develop new operators.
• Assemble metal components utilizing power presses, jigs, fixtures, and a variety of associated inspection equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
