RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA offers an internship/co-op focused on platform systems engineering for the CH-53K program. You will learn requirements capture, peer review, and help decompose requirements across domains while supporting lab-based testing.

Join an Agile engineering team and gain hands-on experience with DOORs, JAMA, JIRA, and ALM tools, contributing from initial concepts toward fielded products with flexible test phases.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.

Responsibilities

• Learn requirements capture and peer review for AMS cockpit avionics for CH-53K program
• Participate in decomposing and allocating requirements to appropriate domains within Collins Aerospace
• Support the creation of test procedures to verify requirements
• Participate in on-site execution of requirements-based testing, robustness and Ad-Hoc testing in a lab environment (schedule flexibility is necessary during formal test phases).
• Collaborate within an Agile-based development team of professional engineers

• Basic experience or knowledge of engineering/technology requirements capture and configuration management tools
• Basic experience or an educational background covering requirements capture & definition, integration, verification & validation testing

• Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
