Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CH47 Maintenance Test Pilot to conduct flight tests after maintenance or modifications, evaluating performance and handling to confirm airworthiness. You will perform test flights, interpret weather data, and file flight plans for missions.

You will compute weight and balance, execute maintenance forms, and work with military pilots and technicians. A valid Secret Clearance and FAA/Army training are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1000 hours of PIC preferred.
• Minimum ten years of aviation maintenance experience required.
• Proficient in flying operations of CH47 aircraft.
• Active Secret Clearance required and the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• Completed military flight and applicable training courses as required IAW AR 95-20.

Responsibilities

• Perform test flights to measure performance and handling for airworthiness after maintenance or modifications.
• File flight plans and interpret meteorological data for mission navigation.
• Compute and annotate weight and balance logs for the CH47 aircraft.
• Conduct aircraft technical inspections and document maintenance discrepancies.
• Coordinate with military pilots and technicians during operations.
• Troubleshoot and guide repairs on ground and in flight.
