Job summary

Century Group is partnering with a client that seeks a Controller to oversee accounting operations across multiple sites in Ventura County, CA. The role is contract to hire with a starting pay rate of $76.00 to $81.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will lead financial reporting, budgeting, cost and inventory accounting, and ERP optimization while guiding teams and ensuring timely, accurate results. Experience in manufacturing or related operations is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Significant accounting leadership experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, BOM structures, and financial reporting.
• Experience overseeing multi-site or multi-entity accounting operations and complex processes.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or migrations.

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $76.00 to $81.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities

Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial results.

Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting, and operational financial analysis across multiple facilities or business units.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning efforts to support business objectives and profitability.

Drive ERP system enhancements, accounting process improvements, and technology implementation initiatives.

Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, operational recommendations, and support strategic growth initiatives.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.

Significant accounting leadership experience within manufacturing, construction, industrial, or related operational environments.

Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, bill of materials structures, and financial reporting.

Previous experience overseeing multi site or multi entity accounting operations and complex business processes.

Proven experience supporting ERP implementations, system migrations, or large scale technology transformation projects.

Qualifications

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Carbon, or similar ERP platforms.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiency.

Excellent leadership and communication skills with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments.

Bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus, along with the ability to thrive in a hands on, fast paced operational environment.
