Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to jointheir team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $80.00 to $90.00 per hour.
Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and month end, quarter end, and year end close activities to ensure accurate and timely financial results.
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, general ledger accounting, and other core accounting functions.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning efforts to support business performance and strategic decision making.
Coordinate audits, tax reporting support, lender reporting, ownership reporting, and other external financial requirements.
Develop and mentor accounting staff while driving process improvements, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business growth initiatives.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
Previous leadership experience supervising, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
Strong knowledge of property accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and close processes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting and property management software platforms.
Commercial real estate, retail real estate, property management, or related industry experience.
Previous experience with tenant expense recoveries, property budgeting, forecasting, and property-level financial analysis.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify trends, resolve issues, and improve financial performance.
Prior experience leveraging technology, automation, AI tools, or process enhancements to improve accounting workflows and reporting efficiency.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
