Job summary

Oak Haven Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Center Point, Louisiana, is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a day shift. You will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and educate patients and families on communication and swallowing strategies in a supportive team environment.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology with Louisiana SLP licensure and ASHA CCC certification, plus 2+ years in skilled nursing

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current SLP and ASHA CCC certification in Louisiana.
• 2+ years of experience in skilled nursing or similar setting (preferred).
• Expertise in dysphagia management and cognitive rehabilitation.
• Passion for geriatric care and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for speech, language, cognition, and swallowing.
• Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Specialize in dysphagia management and cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives in patient care.
