Job summary

Anchorage Digital is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Licensing Attorney to lead CFTC/NFA licensing efforts and navigate the evolving regulatory landscape in digital assets. You will advise on OTC derivatives, margin lending, and privacy considerations while balancing compliance with strategic aims.

You will work with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Engineering to integrate licensing requirements into product development and day-to-day operations, ensuring a rigorous, scalable framework.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree with a focus on financial services, commodities, or corporate law.
• 4+ years practicing law, with at least 3+ years on CFTC and NFA regulatory matters.
• Deep knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and the Dodd-Frank Act (Title VII).
• Technical proficiency in derivatives, including OTC products, margin lending, and legal life cycle of futures and swaps.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal expert on CEA and NFA rules for licensing obligations.
• Lead end-to-end licensing strategy, registrations, exemptions, and ongoing compliance.
• Draft, review and negotiate regulatory agreements, including ISDA/CSA docs.
• Partner with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Engineering to embed compliance into workflows.
