Job summary

Anchorage Digital is seeking a Regulatory Licensing Attorney to guide CFTC and NFA licensing, compliance programs, and related regulatory matters for its institutional crypto platform.

You will partner with Trading, Operations, Risk, and Engineering to embed compliance into workflows and oversee the end-to-end registration lifecycle, including exemptions and ongoing regulatory risk management.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree focused on financial services, commodities, or corporate law.
• 4+ years in legal practice, with at least 3+ years on CFTC/NFA matters.
• Deep knowledge of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) and Dodd-Frank Title VII.
• Understanding of derivatives, OTC products, margin lending, and life cycle of futures/swaps.
• Excellent drafting/negotiation skills, with ISDA/CSA or clearing agreements experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal expert on CFTC/NFA licensing and lifecycle management.
• Lead end-to-end licensing strategies and exemption navigation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise executives on pivots to strategy.
• Lead responses to regulatory inquiries and NFA examinations.
• Draft and negotiate regulatory agreements, including ISDA/CSA documentation.
• Develop internal Rules-to-Workflow frameworks to prevent breaches and ensure compliance.
