Job summary

Medina County Career Center (MCCC) is seeking a detail-oriented Wall Panel Designer to join our engineering and manufacturing team. You will design cold-formed steel wall panels and produce precise shop drawings for manufacturing and assembly.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, cutting lists, and working with engineers and production teams to optimize framing solutions. Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit is required. Full-time, 7am-4pm, with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Background in structural steel detailing or metal stud framing; cold-formed steel design experience is a plus.
• Experience with Autodesk software including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture and Revit.
• Strong mathematical and spatial reasoning skills; ability to read and interpret complex architectural and structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and detailed layouts of CFS wall panels, including load-bearing and non-load-bearing systems.
• Generate accurate shop drawings, cutting lists, and assembly instructions for the production floor.
• Work closely with structural engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams (BIM) to provide creative and economical framing solutions.
• Review designs for accuracy, manufacturing feasibility, and material optimization.
