Job summary

Common Future seeks a Chief Financial and Operations Officer (CFOO) to lead Finance, People Operations, and IT/Systems for our mission-driven nonprofit. This role partners with the Co-CEOs to advance budgeting, governance, and strategic planning while stewarding risk and organizational culture across two entities: Common Future and Community Credit Lab.

The ideal candidate brings executive leadership, experience with nonprofit accounting standards, and a track record of building scalable

Qualifications

Executive leadership at the C-suite or senior management level with budget oversight.
Commitment to dismantling unjust systems and fostering equitable workplaces.
Advanced proficiency in nonprofit financial systems and Excel, with multi-year modeling.
Experience managing reserves, liquidity, and multi-entity finances.
Proven partnership with a nonprofit Board, treasury relationships, and banking.

Responsibilities

Own development and oversight of financial strategy and core finance functions for two entities: Common Future and Community Credit Lab.
Lead treasury management and oversee audit strategy with the Board and Executive Team.
Guide budgeting processes and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS requirements.
Oversee accounting, reporting, internal controls, and fiscal policy; implement scalable systems.
Partner with Co-CEOs on strategy, risk, and organizational culture; support talent and operations.
