Position Summary

The CFO will play a visible role in advancing the financial strategy behind this work, partnering with executive and clinical leaders to support sustainable growth, responsible stewardship and the continued evolution of a premier destination for women, babies and families. The Chief Financial Officer for Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies and the Orlando Health Women’s Institute serves as a strategic financial executive and trusted advisor to hospital, institute and system leadership. This leader will help shape the financial strategy for one of the nation’s most recognized women’s and neonatal care environments, translating operational priorities, growth opportunities, quality goals and service-line needs into disciplined financial plans and actionable business insight. As a member of the executive leadership team, the CFO provides enterprise-level financial expertise, monitors performance across revenue, expense, productivity, capital and operating indicators, and partners with clinical and operational leaders to advance sustainable growth, exceptional patient care and long-term value for the communities served by Orlando Health.
Responsibilities

• Serves as a strategic finance partner to the hospital president, institute leadership and system finance executives, providing disciplined financial guidance that supports growth, operational performance, clinical excellence and long-range planning.
• Leads monthly review of operating results for the hospital and institute, coordinating the preparation of financial reports, variance analysis, key insights and action plans that support timely decision-making.
• Develops, monitors and interprets key performance indicators that connect financial performance with operational priorities, access, productivity, patient experience and service-line growth.
• Prepares financial projections for new programs, capital expenditures, growth initiatives, physician partnerships and proposed changes in regional or institute operations; designs and prepares ad hoc analyses as needed.
• Analyzes budget variances and partners with operational leaders to develop practical, accountable action plans to address opportunities and improve results.
• Provides leadership for Care Management, Utilization Management and Health Information Management activities within the hospital in concert with Corporate Revenue Management.
• Leads revenue cycle, supply chain, labor management and other corporate initiatives for the hospital in collaboration with system leaders, ensuring alignment with Orlando Health standards and priorities.
• Oversees charge capture at the facility and performs charge reconciliations to ensure appropriate charge capture on a daily and monthly basis.
• Ensures timely compliance with medical record documentation, deficiencies and work queue management to support timely submission of claims.
• Leads preparation of the hospital’s operating and capital budget in concert with Corporate Financial Planning, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities, institute growth and operational needs.
• Oversees the review, approval and financial monitoring of all capital projects at the facility and maintains the long-term capital plan for the hospital.
• Anticipates future trends, threats and opportunities affecting financial results, including market dynamics, reimbursement, access, labor, service-line expansion and evolving needs in women’s and neonatal care.
• Interacts with physicians and advanced practice leaders in support of hospital and institute financial goals, helping translate clinical needs and growth opportunities into sustainable operating models.
• Updates and manages preparation of the hospital’s five-year strategic plan in coordination with Corporate Finance and executive leadership.
• Provides leadership, coaching and financial education to hospital leaders and team members to strengthen financial acumen, accountability and operational decision-making.
• Manages supporting staff such as administrative support and financial analysts, as needed, fostering a high-performing, service-oriented finance team.
• Follows corporate standards for financial analysis, projections, reporting, internal controls and compliance.
• Works closely with the Senior Vice President of Finance and corporate leaders on information systems, long-range financial planning, labor management, budget, accounting and other enterprise initiatives.
• Understands and optimizes the use of financial systems to enable efficient, accurate and effective analysis of operations.
• Follows internal controls, policies and procedures and actively promotes compliance, accountability and stewardship of organizational resources.

Education/Training

Bachelor’s Degree- Accounting, Finance, Taxation, and/or Business Administration.
Preferred MBA Or CPA
Licensure/Certification

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Experience
10+ years Experience in a management role within the healthcare sector.

Experience working in a treasury function.
