Iowa Valley Community College District seeks a strategic financial leader to serve as Vice President of Finance and CFO. This executive will guide budgeting, accounting, reporting, investments, debt and risk management, as well as contracts and facilities funding.

The CFO reports to the President and chairs financial strategy for District sustainability. The role includes advising the President and Board, ensuring compliance, and fostering a fiscally responsible culture that supports students

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• 7–10 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in a senior management role.
• CPA, MBA, or masters in accountancy preferred.

Aufgaben

• Financial operations and internal controls oversight across accounting, payroll, purchasing, grants, and related activities.
• Lead annual budgeting process and multiyear financial planning with forecasts and analyses.
• Ensure timely financial reporting to the Board and authorities; oversee audit and corrective actions.
• Serve on the executive leadership team and advise the President and Board on financial implications.
• Oversee facilities funding strategy, capital budgeting, and major construction projects.
• Coordinate risk management, insurance, and employee benefits analysis.
• Develop staff, establish goals, and build cross-trained, service‑oriented teams.
