Job summary

GECU is seeking an accomplished financial executive to lead the strategic direction of the credit union’s finances and reporting. You will partner with the CEO and Board to ensure long-term financial strength, operational performance, and member value.

The role requires in-depth knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and ALM, with a focus on strategic initiatives, mergers, and growth opportunities. Excellent leadership and risk management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; 8–10 years of related experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives such as mergers or transformations.
• Ability to influence across all levels and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial guidance to the CEO and Board to develop strategic plans.
• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, and capital management.
• Evaluate financial impact of strategic decisions and new initiatives.
• Oversee internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting.
• Lead ALM strategies and liquidity management.
• Collaborate with executives on analytics and performance measurement.
