Job summary

Phoenix Tailings is seeking a results-driven Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial strategy during a period of rapid growth. As CFO, you will partner with the CEO and executive leadership to drive financial performance, capital raising, budgeting, and governance across GAAP or IFRS frameworks.

You will build a scalable finance function, oversee audits and investor reporting, and strengthen relationships with banks and investors to secure funding.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in senior financial leadership roles in tech/mining/industrial sectors.
• Proven fundraising experience with equity and debt.
• Experience in startups or high-growth environments.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategies and long-term planning.
• Lead capital-raising efforts including debt/equity financing.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Provide insights to CEO on strategic initiatives and growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory filings.
