Job summary

Scratch Financial in Pasadena, CA is seeking a CFO who has managed lending facilities and led exits, reporting to the CEO and guiding a 5-person finance team across FP&A, accounting, and operations.

You will be the primary financial partner to the executive team, board and lenders, owning capital strategy, debt facilities, and exit readiness, while overseeing GAAP reporting, controls, and investor communications.

Qualifications

• Direct, hands-on experience managing lending facilities and debt capital relationships.
• Experience leading or co-leading a $100M+ exit process (M&A, recapitalization).
• Track record of building or improving financial infrastructure in growth-stage companies.
• Strong communication to boards, debt investors, and non-finance stakeholders.
• Experience managing a finance team and developing people.

Responsibilities

• Own capital strategy and debt facility management with lenders and partners.
• Lead exit readiness, data rooms, and investor presentations for transactions.
• Own annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and ROI framework development.
• Oversee GAAP reporting, controls, and relationships with auditors and tax advisers.
• Partner with CEO and board to align strategy, KPIs, and capital deployment.
• Direct a 5-person team across FP&A, accounting, and finance operations.
