Job summary

First Responders Credit Union in Massachusetts is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead a finance team of four, partner with the CEO and Board, and shape the credit union's financial strategy, growth, and long-term success.

You will drive accounting, treasury, financial reporting, capital planning, liquidity management, and data-driven decision making while balancing growth, risk and member value, with a mission to serve firefighters, law enforcement, EMS and families.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in accounting, treasury, budgeting, and financial reporting.
• Financial institution experience required; direct credit union experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA/CPA/CFA or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance team of four professionals and partner with CEO, executive team, and Board to guide financial strategy, growth, and long-term success.
• Align financial strategy with organizational priorities, support digital transformation, and strengthen data-driven decision-making.
• Translate complex financial information into meaningful business insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
