Job summary

TheHomeMag seeks an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead finance for a national business with a ~$60 million footprint and over 80 staff. You will own accounting operations, consolidation, cash management, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple locations, reporting to the President/COO and advising the CEO/Founder.

You will partner with operations and sales leaders to turn financial insight into practical actions, expand AI-driven workflows, and build a high-performing finance team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Typically 12+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Experience owning both accounting operations and FP&A and reviewing substantive financial issues.
• Experience with multi-location or multi-entity consolidation, intercompany activity, GAAP, and timely reporting.
• Experience translating financial analysis into guidance for executives and leaders.
• Experience using AI in financial analysis, modeling, or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate, timely consolidated financial reporting in collaboration with the Controller.
• Lead cash positioning, 13-week cash forecasting, working capital, banking relationships, and treasury controls.
• Partner with FP&A and operating leaders on budgets, forecasts, and location-level analysis.
• Provide concise executive guidance on performance, cash, risks, and opportunities.
• Help market leaders understand results, investigate variances, and follow through on actions.
• Develop the finance team and improve Sage Intacct, Pigment, and related workflows.
