Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a Mechanical Designer - CFD Analyst to join our Mechanical Engineering team. The ideal candidate will balance deep CFD analysis with oversight duties, mentoring, QAQC, and project coordination. Primary focus on CFD analysis with potential HVAC layout support as needed.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in the AEC industry, and 3+ years of CFD modeling experience. Revit proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the AEC industry preferred.
• 3+ years of CFD modeling experience (interior and exterior) required.
• Revit experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of medium-to-large scale CFD analysis for internal and external scenarios.
• Develop and enforce CFD analysis standards and workflows across teams.
• Create mechanical system layouts and modeling tasks independently.
• Oversee drawing production, ensuring code compliance and clarity across mechanical documents.
• Generate and review technical documentation related to CFD requirements.
• Mentor and train mechanical staff on design practices and standards.
• Lead QAQC efforts on self-produced and delegated work.
