Job summary

Total Safety is seeking a Fire Protection Estimator to join our safety-focused team in Texas. You will prepare estimates for fire protection systems, read and interpret drawings, and develop comprehensive proposals in response to client requests.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience, the ability to work independently or with a team, and strong cost-estimation skills. NICET certification is a plus, with a collaborative environment and opportunities to support sales and field teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in fire protection, mechanical and/or electrical systems installations in industrial settings.
• High School Diploma required.
• NICET certification a plus.
• Ability to read plans and develop estimates from detailed packages.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed material, labor, design, and equipment cost estimates in response to RFP, RFQ or customer request.
• Provide written scope of services in response to RFP, RFQ, or customer request.
• Thoroughly review and understand requirements from project and customer documents to reduce risk and capture all costs.
• Perform job walks to determine scope and method of installation/ repair.
• Provide customer and in house technical support to sales personnel on mechanical and electrical fire protection systems.
• Attend meetings with and without sales personnel at customer locations.
• Prepare other documents as needed.
• Communicate with internal & external customers.

Total Safety is looking for a Fire Protection Estimator to join their safety conscious team! The Fire Protection Estimator prepares estimates and proposals for fire protection systems including fire sprinklers, fire alarm, gaseous agent suppression, detection, and air breathing systems.
