Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Waste Processing Technician I to safely perform core duties on inbound trucks, verify container counts, sample waste, and process materials through shredding operations. You will operate heavy equipment including forklifts and related tools in a safety-conscious environment.

You will join a team dedicated to sustainable waste solutions and must have a High School diploma, 1+ year shipping/receiving experience, forklift experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED preferred; GED Works program offered.
• 1+ year of experience in shipping/receiving like environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• A Valid Driver's License is required.
• Able to pass respirator fit test.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.
• Process waste materials into like commodities or per vendor specs.
• General housekeeping and maintenance of the area.
• Loading/Unloading of van trailers and/or flat beds.
• Interact with plant personnel to determine local needs.

Apply today!About the roleThe Waste Processing Technician I (WPTI) is an entry level position responsible to safely perform the following fundamental tasks which may include the following: off-loading inbound trucks, verify container count, manifest number and other relevant data needed for waste processing. Container sampling, recognizing non-conforming material, and processing of material through shredding operations, direct loading into pit. The WPT I is expected to have a general mechanical understanding of waste processing equipment. Specifically, via forklift, forklift attachments, hose, and valve operation. This position will handle various types of waste during their daily routine and is expected to be safety conscious and understand the correct PPE to utilize during their tasks.Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment such as fork trucks, balers, compactors, etc.Process waste materials into like commodities or in accordance with vendor specificationsGeneral housekeeping.
