Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform welding, materials, and in-process inspection of piping and structural components produced at TurboFab.

You will record inspection results and provide stakeholder reports, ensuring compliance with project requirements. This role requires a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), experience with NDE methods (MT, UT, RT, PT), and the ability to read shop drawings.

Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
• Experience with NDE methods: MT, UT, RT, PT.
• High school Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of industrial coatings applications.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding, materials, and in-process components at TurboFab.
• Record inspection results and prepare stakeholder reports.
• Coordinate NDE inspections with contractors and third parties.
• Review production documentation such as travelers, ITPs, and drawings.
• Train other QC technicians as needed.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all inspection requirements.
