Job summary

Anaheimprecision is seeking a Certified Welder in California to join our welding team. The ideal candidate will possess AWS D17.1_D17.1M _D1.1 certifications and extensive MIG/TIG welding experience for aerospace applications. You will operate welding machines, read blueprints, and ensure precise welds in aluminum and steel.

Responsibilities include setting up jobs, training team members, and approving welds while maintaining safety and quality standards in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

  • AWS D17.1 / D17.1M / D1.1 certifications required or equivalent Fusion Welding for Aerospace applications.
  • MIG welding experience with AWS codes preferred.
  • Blue print reading and welding symbol understanding should be strong.

Responsibilities

  • Operate GTWA and GMAW welding machines.
  • Weld thin aluminum (0.35–0.60) and steel.
  • Understand basic measurements using calipers.
  • Read welding symbols per AWS 2.4 and perform advanced blueprint reading.
  • Own and set up jobs, support welding team, train and approve jobs.

  • Ability to operate GTWA and GMAW Welding Machines.
  • Able to Weld thin Aluminum 035-060 and Steel.
  • Able to understand basic measurements using calipers.
  • Basic understanding of welding symbols per AWS 2.4.
  • Advanced Blueprint reading.
  • Must own all tools to complete jobs, welding helmet, gloves, clamps, pliers etc.
  • Must be able to set-up own jobs, support welding team, train, and approve jobs.

Experience

MIG welding: 10 years (Preferred)

  • Tig Welding: 10 years (Preferred)
License/Certification
  • Certified Welding Inspector (Required)
Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees. Must know how to read and write English language.

Mathematical Ability

Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
