POSITION OVERVIEW: A Certified weld inspector (CWI) assists the Engineering, Production, and Quality department to plan and evaluate weldment quality per customer and industry code requirements. The CWI directs and leads weld quality improvement and solves issues arising in production regarding welding procedures and requirements. CWI also maintains the certified weld program by testing and certifying welding employees per customer and industry requirements.
AWS Certified weld inspector certification (D1.1 preferred codebook).
