Martinrea is seeking a Welding Quality Technician to ensure that Martinrea and Customer quality requirements are met while welding materials into parts. You will establish and maintain welding parameters for production and QA, inspect welds, and support robotic weld operations.

This role requires an AWS certificate, welding metallurgy knowledge, NDE basics, and experience with GMAW, projection, and resistance welding.

Qualificações

• Must have a current AWS certificate.
• Sound understanding of Welding Metallurgy.
• Fundamental understanding of NDE techniques.
• Sound understanding of Gas Metal Arc Welding, Projection and Resistance Welding.
• Manual GMAW experience.
• Working experience with industrial robots.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Able to work shifts and be flexible (including overtime on short notice).
• Basic knowledge of ISO/TS 16949:2002 and measuring equipment.
• Basic GD&T and CMM understanding.

Responsabilidades

• Perform welding parameter establishment and maintenance to support production and Quality Assurance.
• Conduct weld inspections and analyze weld data, generating reports.
• Assist with robotic weld touchups and Paxit system documentation.
• Maintain Weld Set up Instructions, Weld Inspection Records and Weld Length records.
• Support PPAP packages as required and participate in quality audits.
