Job summary

Martinrea International Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production department and ensure that customer requirements are met or exceeded.

The role focuses on coaching Area Leaders, Operators, and Technicians to drive high performance on the shop floor. Candidates should have 4+ years in a similar role, experience in robotic welding, bilingual Spanish/English, and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Knowledge and experience working in the automotive industry; processes and operations.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role (Production Supervisor).
• Ability to lead a large team with strong problem solving skills.
• Knowledge and experience working in a robotic welding environment.
• Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Area Leaders, Operators, and Technicians; provide training, coaching, and discipline for high performance.
• Identify, record, and report quality non-conformances; elevate to Quality Manager and prevent non-conforming product.
• Investigate non-conforming product issues from their shift to troubleshoot.
• Develop production planning, communicate responsibilities, establish production timelines, and ensure results.
• Address quality-related problems and provide prompt resolutions to minimize interruptions.
• Ensure product identification, traceability, and process controls are followed.
• Analyze downtime and provide resolutions for problems.
• Minimize operating costs through proper planning and efficient use of resources.
• Participate in internal quality audits to assess the quality system.
• Monitor attendance and shift end reports for accuracy.
• Adhere to company policies including health & safety, quality and environment.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and legislation.
• Search out, recommend, and implement process improvements.
• Assist plant leadership in driving KPIs and in hiring/new associate orientation.
