Job summary

Hitachi Energy Crystal Springs is seeking an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector to join our Quality team. You will inspect welded components, verify compliance with welding codes, document results, and collaborate with Production and Quality to ensure top quality and safety.

The role requires active AWS CWI certification and 3–5+ years of welding inspection experience, with strong knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and relevant codes.

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification required
• 3–5+ years in welding inspection
• Proficient with welding codes and standards

Responsibilities

• Inspections: visual and dimensional welds on projects
• Verify compliance with AWS D1.1, ASME IX, API
• Review weld maps and maintain inspection reports
• Coordinate NDT (MT/PT/UT) testing
• Assist welders and production teams on quality
• Identify non-conformances and drive corrective actions
