Job summary

A luxury jewelry company in Seattle is seeking a qualified watchmaker to perform technical repairs on various timepiece brands. The ideal candidate will have completed a minimum of a two-year watchmaking program or possess equivalent professional experience, along with certifications. This role entails ensuring high-quality repairs, conducting diagnostics, and maintaining effective communication with the head watchmaker. Competitive pay starts at $32.69 per hour. Qualifications

  • Experience breaking down case body and reassembling.
  • Able to service standard mechanical ETA calibers.
  • Experience with automatic chronographs and prestige brand calibers.
  • Able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical repair and service on multiple brands.
  • Conduct water resistance testing and replace case gaskets.
  • Ensure repair quality meets or exceeds standards.
  • Communicate job status updates to head watchmaker.

Skills

Proficient with hairspring and escapement adjustment
Able to perform diagnostics on mechanical and quartz timepieces
Detail oriented
Good verbal and written communication skills

Education

Successfully completed a Watchmaking program/school (2 year minimum)
Watchmaker certification (SAWTA, WOSTEP, or CW21)
