Qualifications

• Licensed veterinary technician in the state of employment.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, or with assistance over 25 pounds.
• Follows OSHA safety practices and PPE usage.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in exams, anesthesia, dentistry, labs and patient nursing.
• Take histories, vital signs, weights, and provide client education.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor during procedures.
• Collect samples and perform in-hospital testing, prepare for external labs.
• Obtain radiographs following safety protocols.
• Handle and restrain animals as needed.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and restock supplies.
• Communicate with clients and team to ensure quality patient care.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
