Job summary

Mission Pet Health’s Libertyville facility seeks a Certified Veterinary Technician to join a skilled team. You will provide comprehensive patient care, assist in procedures, monitor anesthesia, and perform diagnostic lab work in a high-standard clinic environment.

You will collaborate closely with veterinarians, educate pet owners, and participate in continuous learning and professional development within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license (CVT) in good standing.
  • Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and collaborative teamwork.
  • One year of veterinary industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be a vital part of the medical team providing comprehensive patient care, including treatments, anesthesia monitoring, and lab work.
  • Lead and mentor the medical team to maintain efficient workflow and support skill growth.
  • Partner with clients; educate owners, review medical records, and answer questions confidently.
  • Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training and feedback.

Your Impact as a Certified Veterinary Technician

  • Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.

What You'll Bring to the Team
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
