Credentialed Veterinary Technicians don't come along every day — and we know it.
We're looking for compassionate, experienced Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU Overnight team —we value your skills, respect your expertise, and give you the tools to actually use them. This is hands-on work where your training gets put to real use.
Since 1997, VREC has served as an AAHA-accredited, 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital — and today, it's also a teaching hospital. VREC is home to the VCA Vet Tech Academy , where Credentialed Veterinary Technician students train alongside our associates, building real clinical skills in real time.
You’ll be working alongside board-certified specialists on complex, high-acuity cases using state-of-the-art technology — in a hospital that values communication, teamwork, and hands-on learning as much as clinical skill.
Compensation: $33.00 – $40.00/hr, based on skill set, experience, and licensure status
Weekend differential $2/hr beginning Friday at 6pm through Monday at 6am
Overnight differential $1/hr beginning Monday at 8pm through Thursday at 8am
Schedule: Full-time, (3)12 hour shifts

Whether you're a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or a technician in training, we want you using every skill you've worked hard to build:
Triages incoming emergency patients, assessing severity and prioritizing care alongside a full veterinary team
Monitors hospitalized ICU patients continuously, tracking vitals and catching early signs of change across multiple ongoing cases
Places IV catheters, draws blood, and manages fluid therapy and CRIs for critical and recovering patients
Assists with stabilization and treatment plans, adjusting care in real time as patients progress
Administers medications accurately per veterinarian orders, including controlled substances, with careful documentation
Performs and assists with diagnostics — radiographs, blood work, and point-of-care testing
We're looking for someone positive, motivated, and ready to bring ideas to the table — our team meets frequently, and your input genuinely shapes how we grow. We protect our culture fiercely, and that means hiring people with the determination to rise above obstacles, wear multiple hats, and show up for their team.

VCA is one of the largest networks of animal hospitals in the country — but you'd never know it from the way we operate. Every hospital keeps its own identity, its own team, and its own culture, while giving you access to the resources, mentorship, and career opportunities of a national organization behind you. You get the best of both: the tight-knit feel of a local practice and the backing, benefits, and growth potential of an industry leader.
We're genuinely invested in your career — not just your job. From continuing education to credential support to nationwide transfer opportunities if life takes you somewhere new, we build the kind of support system that helps technicians build real, lasting careers, not just punch a clock. This is a place where your work is seen, your growth is prioritized, and your future in this field actually matters to us.
