Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists - Hoffman Estates is looking for a Nurse Trainer to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.

As a Nurse Trainer, you will be responsible for the professional development of TPHS veterinary technicians. Your role includes planning, developing, and conducting training activities to help team members acquire new skills, stay updated with technology in veterinary medicine, and address training gaps. You will track training effectiveness and gather feedback from participants to inform hospital planning.

Role Responsibilities:

• Identify and analyze training needs within the hospital.
• Develop training plans for new hires and current employees based on their needs and training gaps.
• Facilitate training sessions, either in person or online, collaborating with internal and external trainers.
• Monitor attendance and performance during training programs and report data to supervisors.
• Assess team members’ performance post-training through feedback from supervisors.
• Adjust training schedules based on team members’ availability.
• Work schedule: Flexible, with a minimum of 40 hours on-site per week; weekends and evenings may be required.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of veterinary technician experience, with emergency experience required and specialty medicine experience preferred.
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and database software.
• Highly organized with strong decision-making skills.
• Ability to design effective veterinary technician training programs.

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, estimated at $75,000-$85,000/year. The actual offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
