Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists-Hoffman Estates is looking for a Nurse Trainer to join us as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community.
As a Nurse Trainer, you’ll be the key driver for the professional development of TPHS veterinary technicians. Your responsibilities include planning, developing, and conducting training activities to help team members learn new skills, stay updated with technology in veterinary medicine, and address training gaps. You will track training effectiveness and gather feedback from participants to inform hospital planning.
Role Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze training needs within our hospital
- Develop tailored training plans for new hires and current employees to address their specific needs and gaps
- Facilitate training sessions in person or online, collaborating with internal and external trainers for effective delivery
- Monitor attendance and performance during training and report data to supervisors
- Assess team members’ performance on the floor post-training through supervisor feedback
- Adjust training schedules based on team members’ availability
- Work schedule: Flexible, minimum 40 hours/week on-site; weekends and evenings required
Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of veterinary technician experience, with emergency experience required and specialty medicine experience preferred
- CVT certification required
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and database software
- Highly organized with strong decision-making skills
- Ability to design effective veterinary technician training programs

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience, ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 annually. The final offer will consider your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
