Qualifications

  • 2+ years of small animal clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome to apply.
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint.
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines.
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, induction, and recovery.
  • Dental experience preferred.
  • Ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories.
  • Solid technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures.
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in where needed.
  • Commitment to continued learning, growth, and professional development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Comfort working on your feet in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures.
  • Take and process radiographs.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed.
  • Provide nursing care and patient monitoring.
  • Educate clients on preventive care and post-operative instructions.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital.

  • Role: Certified Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and credentials
  • Schedule: 4-day work week, Monday through Thursday, 7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm, one 5-hour Saturday shift per month
