Qualifications

• Must hold Pennsylvania CVT credential or be eligible for licensure in PA.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Strong nursing and patient-care skills; able to educate clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients.
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical assessments.
• Safely restrain patients using Fear Free approach when possible.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics.
• Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia; assist during surgery and dental procedures.
• Capture diagnostic radiographs of patients.
• Educate clients on preventive care and home care.
• Collaborate with team to provide outstanding patient care.

Here is What Your day May Consist of:

As an integral member of our medical team, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Deliver compassionate nursing care to canine and feline patients
• Obtain patient histories and perform physical assessments
• Safely handle and restrain patients with a Fear Free approach whenever possible
• Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
• Place intravenous catheters and perform venipuncture
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia
• Assist veterinarians during surgical and dental procedures
• Capture high-quality diagnostic radiographs
• Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and home care
• Collaborate with teammates to provide outstanding patient care and an exceptional client experience

• Current Pennsylvania Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT) or eligibility for licensure
• Previous veterinary experience preferred
• Strong technical nursing and patient care skills
