Pets First Veterinary Center, located at 924 East Haverford Road, Bryn Mawr, PA, is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) for a full-time role at $25 to $28 per hour.

Join a small-animal practice offering integrative and conventional medicine, including surgery, diagnostics, and holistic care. You will support anesthesia, dental and surgical procedures, maintain medical records in ezyVet, and mentor staff while delivering compassionate client education.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania CVT certification is required.
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred.
• Open to conventional and integrative medicine.
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work with animals that may bite or scratch.

Responsabilités

• Anesthesia induction, intubation, monitoring, and recovery
• Surgical and dental support, including dental cleanings and dental radiographs
• IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and sample collection
• Administer medications and fluids as directed by the veterinarian
• Radiographs and in-house diagnostics (diagnostic blood work panels, cytology, urinalysis)
• Educate clients clearly and compassionately
• Keep accurate medical records, charges, and controlled substance logs in ezyVet
• Train and oversee veterinary assistants and new staff
• Support the doctor with case research by finding and summarizing relevant studies

Pets First is an independent small animal practice in Bryn Mawr offering integrative and conventional medicine, including holistic care, acupuncture, raw food consultations, surgery, and modern diagnostics. What you'll do

What we're looking for

• Active Pennsylvania CVT certification (required)
• 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
• ezyVet experience is a plus
• Openness to both conventional and natural approaches. You don't need to agree with every option an owner chooses, but you do need to support their decision professionally.
• Curiosity: you look for the best answer rather than defaulting to "how it's always been done"
• Able to lift up to 80 pounds and work with animals that may bite or scratch
